We do everything we can to assure quality, trust, and safety on KitSplit (more on that below). However, in the unlikely event that a piece of gear you've rented on KitSplit malfunctions or ceases working we'll messenger you a replacement ASAP—just contact us! Unlike most rental houses, we have customer service representatives available not just business hours but also on nights and weekends to help with any issues that arise. And since we work with multiple rental houses as well as hundreds of individual and production company owners, we have great access to almost any kind of gear if a replacement is needed.
We assure safety and security on the platform in a number of ways. First of all, not just anyone can join KitSplit—we vet everyone who joins and collect and verify personal information including a government-issued ID before they are "vetted" and allowed to post a listing or request a rental. Everyone using our site must agree to our Terms of Service.
We further emphasize transparency between parties by strongly encouraging both owners and renters to complete ratings and reviews so that future owners and renters can review each others’ ratings when deciding on a rental option. Don’t be shy about communicating with an owner if you have specific questions about them or the condition of their gear!
